Your rights as an affected person

First, we would like to inform you about your rights as an affected person. These rights are standardized in Articles 15–22 of the EU GDPR. They include:

  • The right to information (Article 15 EU GDPR),
  • The right to deletion (Article 17 EU GDPR),
  • The right to rectification (Article 16 EU GDPR),
  • The right to data transferability (Article 20 EU GDPR),
  • The right to restriction of data processing (Article 18 EU GDPR),
  • The right to object to data processing (Article 21 EU GDPR).

To exercise these rights, please contact: datenschutz@psi-products.de. The same applies if you have any questions about data processing in our company or wish to withdraw your consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Right to object

Please note the following in connection with your right to object:

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to this data processing at any time without giving reasons. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to direct marketing.

If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes. The objection is free of charge and can be made informally, preferably to: datenschutz@psi-products.de.

If we process your data to protect legitimate interests, you may object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your specific situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Purposes and legal basis for data processing

When processing your personal data, we comply with the provisions of the EU GDPR and all other applicable data protection regulations. The legal basis for data processing is derived in particular from Art. 6 EU GDPR.

We use your data for business development, to fulfill contractual and legal obligations, to execute the contractual relationship, to offer products and services, and to strengthen customer relationships, which may also include analyses for marketing purposes and direct advertising.

Your consent to data processing may also constitute a data protection permission requirement. Before obtaining your consent, we will inform you about the purpose of our data processing and your right to withdraw your consent.

Disclosure to third parties

We will only disclose your data to third parties within the scope of the legal provisions or with your consent. Otherwise, your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless we are obliged to do so by mandatory legal regulations (disclosure to external bodies such as supervisory authorities or law enforcement agencies).

Data recipients / categories of recipients

Within our company, we ensure that only those persons who need your data to fulfill contractual and legal obligations will receive it.

In certain cases, service providers support our specialist departments in carrying out their tasks. The necessary data protection agreements have been concluded with all service providers.

Transfer to third countries / Intent to transfer to third countries
Data will only be transferred to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area) if this is necessary to fulfil contractual obligations, it is required by law or if you have given us your consent.
We do not (currently) transfer your personal data to service providers or group companies outside the European Economic Area.

Data storage period

We store your data for as long as it is required for the respective processing purpose. Please note that numerous retention time requirements mean that data (must) continue to be stored. This applies in particular to commercial or tax law retention obligations (e.g., Commercial Code, Tax Code, etc.). Unless further storage obligations exist, the data will be routinely deleted once the purpose for which it was collected has been fulfilled.

In addition, we may store data if you have given us your consent to do so or if legal disputes arise and we use evidence within the scope of legal limitation periods, which can be up to thirty years; the regular limitation period is three years.

Secure transmission of your data

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the data we store against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. The security levels are continuously reviewed in collaboration with security experts and adapted to new security standards.

Data exchange to and from our website is encrypted. We offer HTTPS as the transmission protocol for our website, using the latest encryption protocols. We also offer our users content encryption in the contact forms. Only we can decrypt this data. It is also possible to use alternative communication channels (e.g., postal mail).

Various personal data is necessary for the establishment, execution, and termination of the contractual relationship and the fulfillment of the associated contractual and legal obligations. The same applies to the use of our website and the various functions it offers.

Please note that it will not be possible to process your request or fulfill the underlying contractual relationship without providing these data.

Contact from / Contact by email (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a,b EU GDPR)

A contact form is available on our website / online shop, which can be used to contact us digitally. If you send us a message using the contact form, we will process the data you provide in the contact form for the purpose of contacting you and responding to your questions and requests.

The principle of data minimization and data avoidance is respected here, as you only need to provide the data that we absolutely require to contact you. This includes your salutation, first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, and the message field itself. In addition, your IP address is processed for technical reasons and for legal security purposes. All other data is optional and can be provided voluntarily (e.g., to enable us to respond to your questions in a more personalized manner).

We do not use purely automated processing procedures to make decisions.

Webshop (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b EU GDPR)

We process the data you provide on the order form only for the purpose of executing or implementing the contractual relationship, unless you consent to further use.

The principle of data minimization and data avoidance is adhered to in that you only need to provide us with the data that we require to execute the contract or to fulfill our contractual obligations (i.e., your name, address, email address, the company with VAT ID for which you are purchasing, and the payment details required for the selected payment method) or which we are legally obliged to collect.

In addition, your IP address is processed for technical reasons and for legal security purposes. Without this data, we will unfortunately have to refuse to enter into the contract, as we will then be unable to perform it or may have to terminate an existing contract. You are, of course, free to provide us with additional data if you wish to do so.

Registration / Customer account (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b EU GDPR)

On our website, we offer users the option of registering by providing personal data. The advantage of this is that you can view your order history and the data you have provided is stored for the order form. This means that you do not have to re-enter this information when placing a new order.

Registration is therefore either necessary or possible for the fulfillment of a contract (via our online shop) with you or for the execution of pre-contractual measures.

The principle of data minimization and data avoidance is respected, as only the data necessary for registration is marked as mandatory fields with an asterisk (*). These include, for example, your email address and password, including password repetition.

To place an order in our online shop, we also require your billing address (title, first name, last name, company name, VAT ID/tax ID, address) for delivery purposes. If the delivery address differs from the billing address, the above information must also be provided for the delivery address.

When you register on our website, your IP address, the date and time of registration are stored as well (technical background data). By clicking on the “Register now” button, you consent to the processing of your data.

Please note: The password you choose is stored in encrypted form. Employees of our company cannot read this password. They will therefore be unable to provide you with any information if you forget your password.

In this case, please use the “Forgot password” function, which will send you a new password generated automatically by email. No employee is authorized to ask you for your password by telephone or in written form. Therefore, please never disclose your password if you receive such requests.

Once you have completed the registration process, your data will be stored in our system for the purpose of using the protected customer area. As soon as you log in to our website with your email address as your username and your password, this data will be made available for actions you carry out on our website (e.g., for orders in our online shop). Orders that have been placed can be tracked in the order history. You can also specify changes to your billing or delivery address here.

Registered users are free to make changes/corrections to their billing or delivery address themselves in their order history. Our customer service team will also be happy to make any changes/corrections if you contact them. You can, of course, also cancel or delete your registration or customer account.

Payment systems (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b GDPR), credit assessment (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR)

In our online shop, you can pay in advance or on invoice. For this purpose, the relevant payment data is collected in order to process your order and payment. In addition, your IP address is processed for technical reasons and for legal security purposes.

The principle of data minimization and data avoidance is adhered to in that you only need to provide us with the data that we absolutely require to process the payment and thus the contract, or that we are legally obliged to collect.

Without this data, we will unfortunately have to refuse to enter into the contract, as we will then be unable to fulfill it.

The payment system we use employs SSL encryption to ensure the secure transmission of your data.

Note on invoice payment: If you select invoice as your payment method in our online shop, we will carry out a credit check. For this purpose, credit-related data (name and address) may be passed on to Creditreform to assess creditworthiness and default risks.

Newsletter (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU GDPR)

You can subscribe to a free newsletter on our website. The email address and your name provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to send you the personalized newsletter.

The principle of data minimization and data avoidance is respected, as only the email address (and name, if applicable, for personalized newsletters) is marked as a mandatory field. For technical reasons and for legal compliance, your IP address will also be processed when you subscribe to the newsletter.

We use the double opt-in procedure to send newsletters by email. This means that you will only receive advertising via email if you have explicitly confirmed that you want us to activate the newsletter service. We do this by sending you a notification email and asking you to confirm that you want to receive our newsletter to this email address by clicking on a link included in this email.

You can, of course, unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe option provided in the newsletter and thus withdraw your consent. You can also unsubscribe from receiving our newsletter at any time directly via our website

Advertising purposes Existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f EU GDPR)

PSI Products is interested in maintaining its customer relationship with you and sending you information and offers about our products/services. We therefore process your data in order to send you relevant information and offers via email.

If you do not wish to receive such information, you can object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to direct marketing. If you object, we will no longer process your data for this purpose.

The objection can be made free of charge and without giving reasons and should be sent by email to marketing@psi-products.de or by post to PSI Products, Urlichstr. 25, 72116 Mössingen, Germany.

Links to other websites

Our website also contains clearly identifiable links to other companies' websites. We have no influence over the content of websites linked to from our website. We therefore cannot accept any liability for this content. The respective provider or operator of the website is always responsible for the content of these websites.

The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations and recognizable infringements at the time the links were created. Illegal content was not recognizable at the time the links were created.

However, without concrete evidence of a violation of the law, permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable. Should we become aware of any legal infringements, such links will be removed immediately.

Cookies (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a, f GDPR, § 25 para. 1, 2 TDDDG)

Our website uses so-called cookies. They help us make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and are saved by your browser (locally). Cookies contain only pseudonymous, mostly even anonymous data. Some cookies remain for the duration of a browser session (so-called session cookies), others are stored for a longer period (so-called persistent cookies, e.g., consent settings). In addition to our own cookies, we also use cookies that are controlled by third-party providers. These third parties use the information contained in the cookies, for example, to display content to you or to track the pages you visit.

Based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR), we use technically necessary cookies that are essential for operating our website and ensuring its functionality. Furthermore, we use cookies without your consent if their sole purpose is to store or access information stored on your device for the purpose of transmitting messages or if they are absolutely necessary to provide the service you have explicitly requested, § 25 para. 2 TDDDG.

Provided you give your consent, further cookies are used which enable us or third parties, for example, to evaluate how our services are used. This allows us to tailor the content to user needs. Cookies also enable us to measure the effectiveness of a particular advertisement and, for example, place it depending on the user's thematic interests. The legal basis for this is your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, § 25 para. 1 TDDDG).

You can withdraw your consent and change your cookie settings at any time by clicking on our consent banner. Please note that changes must be made separately for each device.

Cookie-settings

If you have accounts with the third-party providers we use and are logged in there, your data may be linked to the respective account. You can prevent this by not giving your consent to the relevant cookies or by logging out of the respective third-party provider's website in advance.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can also manually disable, restrict, or delete cookies on your device via your browser settings or by using a software tool. If you disable cookies, you will not be able to use our website to its full extent or only be able to use it to a limited extent.

Google Tag Manager: This website uses the Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain. This means that no cookies are used and no personal data is collected other than connection data. The Tag Manager is necessary for technical operations and controls the tags. The legal foundation for using the Google Tag Manager is your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, simply open our consent banner and deselect the relevant consent. Please note that the change must be carried out individually for each device in the consent banner settings.

Cookie-settings

The default setting for tags has been changed so that they are only triggered after prior consent has been given in the consent banner. The tags therefore run in consent mode and the default setting for all tags (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage, functionality_storage, personalization_storage, and security_storage) is set to “denied.” By consistently sorting the tags manually, we ensure that the Tag Manager is only used to control the scripts and that tools or processing activities requiring consent only process data after the user has given their explicit consent, for example via the consent banner. Our consent management system ensures that individual tags are only employed after explicit consent has been given. If you withdraw your consent to the data processing of these tools, the Tag Manager will also stop displaying and using the relevant tags. For more information on the Tag Manager consent settings, please visit Tag Manager consent mode support.

Some of Google's data processing takes place outside the European Union and the European Economic Area. Data is usually transferred to the USA and processed there. Certification under the US-EU Data Privacy Framework ensures compliance with European data protection standards for data transfer and processing in third countries.

General information on data protection for the Google Tag Manager can be found at Google Marketing Platform.
